Sip n See

This past weekend we went back home to meet the sweetest, newest member of our family.  My niece was born on August 3, and she is just precious.  I love her so much, and I love that she will be so close in age with Hannah.

While I was in town visiting, my mom hosted a Sip n See for her friends to meet her two newest granddaughters.  My mom put together the most adorable party with vintage decor.

Mom picked out matching smocked dresses for the girls to wear.

The girls wore their pearl bracelets.  Hannah's bracelet was a gift from her Nonna at the party.

After the party, we took this picture of my brother, Joe, and Caroline with Hannah and me.

It was so nice to meet the women who have prayed over our babies.  They have prayed for us before we conceived, and their prayers continue for us.  We are forever grateful.

Thank you to my mom for pulling off such an amazing party.  No detail was left undone.  I wish I had pictures of the food.  Even the watermelon were cut in tiny heart shapes, and everything was really delicious.

All the photo credits go to my brother.  I'm so glad he brought with him his talents and camera, as I had left my camera in Birmingham!

Bookworm

Hannah is taking her second nap today in her bassinet (Yay!).  So I am going to make this post quick before she wakes up and post some recent unedited pictures.

Hannah is discovering her hands more and more every day, and she is loving reading her books and grabbing for the pages.  In particular, Pat the Bunny is the book of choice.

On Sunday, we dressed Hannah in her pretty smocked dress from Nonna and Pops to go to mass.

She was due for her nap when I took these pictures, and she was not having it.  So Weston had to break out the iPhone to play her music.  It is just crazy how she can be entertained by our iphone and ipad at just 3 months!

And then finally today, Hannah ended up in just her diaper after a diaper change and feeding, and she looked just so cute that I had to grab my camera.

Happy Monday!

3 Months

Yup, that's right folks.  Hannah is a quarter way through her first year.  She is doing new things everyday.  She smiles all the time especially when she's on her changing table.  Hannah also gives big smiles to Weston when he gets home from work.  Sometimes she gets shy or embarrassed and will bury her face after flashing a big, gummy grin.

She's gaining great head control and using her little voice all the time.  We may have a talker on our hands.  Hannah moves her head around constantly looking around with big, wide eyes when you hold her.  We call her our little owl.

She discovered her toes during this photo shoot.  She was mesmerized by these never before seen feet with 10 wiggling appendages.

When Hannah gets really upset, 90's rap music can calm her down in an instant.  In particular, Bone Thugs n' Harmony Crossroads is her jam.  We just load it on youtube on our phone, and she quiets instantly and watches the entire music video with wide eyes.  We'll change her music choice to a more age appropriate music selection soon.

One of my best friends, Katie, came to visit and meet Hannah this month.  Hannah fell asleep in her arms instantly.

Katie brought with her the sweetest gift, a personalized chick onesie.  It's too cute, and it's made by her Sister-in-Law who has her own etsy business, The Orange Juice Boutique.

Are we done yet Mom?

Yea, I guess we are done.  Happy 3 months sweetie!  It has been an exhausting and exhilarating 3 months.

Overdue

I am long overdue with a post here.  We've been busy.  Mostly trying to get Hannah comfortable with the right meds for her reflux.  We've switched from Zantac, which worked great for a short period, to a stronger medicine, Prilosec.  I am trying to give it some time to work before we try anything else.  Some moments I feel like it's helping and other times I don't.  She used to go down for naps like a champ, and now her naps last 5 minutes unless I'm holding her completely upright.  Hannah sleeps amazingly well at night though and gives us 7-8 hours of sleep consistently every night for weeks now.

Hannah has been smiling and cooing so much lately!  It is so fun to see her little personality developing.  We played dress up with my baby doll and got some pictures last time my mom visited.

I love this candid shot with my mom.

There were wardrobe changes in this photo shoot.

And another wardrobe change...

And last but not least, we have tailfeathers and all.
